Booking is now open for the OIA Conference and AGM 2018.
Sponsored once again by the Camping and Caravanning Club, this year’s event will take place on Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 March at Shrigley Hall Hotel in Cheshire. In common with previous years, there will be inspirational speakers, workshops and outdoor activities. There’ll also be networking opportunities, including the OIA’s annual gala dinner on Wednesday evening, during which the winners of the UK Outdoor Industry Awards will be announced.
Keynote speakers confirmed so far include Patagonia’s General Manager, Ryan Gellert and Liz McMahon, Managing Director of the Madison Muir Group and former Head of International Marketing for the London 2012 Olympic bid.
Professional Climber Nick Bullock will also be there, speaking to delegates about his ’Grizzly Bear Incident‘ – a tale sure to contain both drama and comedy. Nick is a nomadic writer and climber with opinion, imagination and an open mind. We know him personally and he’s also incredibly funny.
The event will follow a similar format to previous years, with a choice of activities on Wednesday afternoon, followed by the AGM and gala dinner in the evening. Thursday will be dedicated to presentations and breakout sessions.
The OIA is offering delegates the opportunity to book places at the same rate as last year between now and 30 December. After this the prices will be increased.

An exclusive offer for independent retailers
To inspire and help stimulate the growth of independent retail businesses, the OIA is offering 20 independent retailers a free place at this year’s OIA conference and AGM.
The OIA will pay 50% towards the cost of a conference place themselves if the retailer can find a brand or a supplier to contribute the other 50%.
