Construction has begun on Grangers’ new headquarters near Chesterfield, Derbyshire as the brand celebrates its 80th anniversary. The milestone was marked by a ceremony attended by Chairman Martyn Rose and General Manager Karolina Jones.
The new custom-built headquarters is set to open later this year.
Martyn Rose, Grangers’ Chairman, said: “Grangers has gone from strength to strength in the last decade and with 40 percent international year-on-year growth in volume in 2017 and many exciting new retail partnerships established in the last year, our 80th anniversary year is the right time to invest and further improve Grangers’ operational capability in the UK.”
It follows the news that the British company will launch in the Chinese market in 2018 having established a partnership with distributor Rongs Sports.
Karolina Jones commented: “Grangers has undergone a remarkable journey of growth since the brand was founded, supporting the first ascent of Mount Everest in 1953, supplying the British Military and helping today’s polar explorers stay warm, safe and dry.
“The construction of a new, custom-built headquarters marks another great step forward, and will see all of the brand’s core functions brought under one roof including Grangers’ manufacturing arm, distribution, finance, design, sales and marketing teams.”
