The Outdoor Industries Association’s (OIA) annual Conference and AGM taking place at Shrigley Hall, Cheshire on 13-14 March has secured sponsorship from a leading UK software company. The sponsorship reflects a key shift in the industry’s focus on digitalisation, which is one of the key talking points at the event.
Technology company Hark, one of a number of sponsors of this year’s event, are a long-time software vendor to apparel and footwear brands in the outdoor industry.
Speaking about this year’s sponsorship, Hark’s Marketing Manager Ben Barnes said: “Hark has been an OIA member for many years and we’re delighted to be joining the other great sponsors of the Conference. Events like this give us a chance to hear the stories brands are telling around digital transformation. E-commerce and marketplaces tend to dominate the conversation, so we’re excited to share how our new aHub PIM supports better product data management for these channels which is key to omni-channel success.”
The OIA Conference and AGM is attended by OIA members and is an opportunity to network and discuss opportunities and threats affecting the industry. The conference also hosts a number of guest speakers, which this year includes David Rutley MP – Minister of the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the third person in history to ski solo to both the North and South Poles, Ben Saunders.
